What is the difference in ammo?

Out of .303 brit. and 7.62x54, which one generally costs more and which one is more commonly made? Which I've currently got a Lee-Enfield as a deer rifle, but I was thinking of buying a Mosin-Nagant so I can restore the enfield without having to worry about having an 11 pound deer gun.
