Is the Pali canon timeless? Are modern Buddhists able to acheive enlightenment by practicing in ancient ways?
If Buddhists in the modern age can acheive enlightenment by practicing how Buddhists have practiced for 2500, why is there the need for a contemporary Buddhist movement (like the FWBO, for example)?
