What would cause someones head to swell during a headache?

I get severe headaches that last for days!! When they are severe enough my head actually swells. The area of my skull protrudes. What could possible cause this to happen? I vomit excessively and it is almost projectile vomiting. I become very weak and break out in a cold sweat.
