New snowboard question?

So i got an awesome new snowboard as an early christmas present. It's a burton dominant with burton custom brew bindings. I like to ride park. The problem is, it's heavier than an average snowboard with the bindings on, and it will only get heavier with boots. I'm 12. will this ruin my fun for the year?
